About environmental projects at sea
Grabdredging means that the sediments are grabed with specially developed equipment that ensures less turbulence and is dense to prevent spreading of masses.
Dredging of contaminated masses can also be done with a specially developed excavator bucket with lid. This ensures less spreading og masses.
Covering of the contaminated seabed can also be an environmental measure. This is done to avoid as much turbulence as possible.
To monitor this work we can measure turbidity or use a silt curtain.
